How it works

How our animation process works, from first brief to final file

Seven clear stages, a written approval at each one, and no surprises about what happens next, when it lands or what it costs. Here is exactly how a project runs.

Written quote within 24 hours ยท Revisions at every stage

The process, stage by stage

Seven stages, each with a clear sign-off

Nothing moves to the next stage until you have approved the one before it. That is what keeps timelines and budgets predictable.

  1. 01Brief and discovery
  2. 02Script and concept
  3. 03Storyboard
  4. 04Style frames and visual direction
  5. 05Voiceover and animation
  6. 06Music, sound and finishing
  7. 07Delivery and versions

Stage 01 of 07

Brief and discovery

You tell us what you need: a short brief, a website or product link, a deck, rough notes or a reference video. We come back with questions and a recommendation on style, length and format.

What you do
Send whatever you have, through the project form or by email.
What you receive
A written, fixed-price quote and timeline, usually within 24 hours.
Approval gate
You accept the quote and the project is scheduled.

Stage 02 of 07

Script and concept

Our writers turn the message into a script built around one clear idea, with the voiceover and the on-screen text written together. If you already have a script, we adapt it for timing and visuals.

What you do
Review, comment and ask for changes. Revision rounds are included at this stage.
What you receive
The script, and the concept behind it.
Approval gate
The words are approved and locked before any visuals are made.

Stage 03 of 07

Storyboard

Every scene is sketched against the script, so you can see the whole video before anything is designed or animated. This is where product accuracy and the order of ideas are checked.

What you do
Check the story, the product details and anything that must or must not appear.
What you receive
A scene-by-scene storyboard.
Approval gate
The storyboard is approved.

Stage 04 of 07

Style frames and visual direction

Key frames are designed in the final style, with characters, colours, typography and your brand applied, so there is no surprise about how the finished video will look.

What you do
Tell us what feels right and what does not. Changes here are still quick.
What you receive
Style frames, and character designs where characters are used.
Approval gate
The look is approved.

Stage 05 of 07

Voiceover and animation

The approved script is recorded by a professional voice, then every scene is animated to it, whether that is 2D, 3D, motion graphics, UI animation, AI-assisted production or a mix.

What you do
Choose the voice, then wait for the preview. This is the longest stage for us and the quietest for you.
What you receive
The recorded voiceover for approval, then a full animated preview.
Approval gate
The preview is reviewed and a revision round polishes the details.

Stage 06 of 07

Music, sound and finishing

Licensed music and sound design are added and mixed around the voice, with captions and final colour and timing checks.

What you do
Listen with the sound on, ideally on the device your audience will use.
What you receive
The finished master video.
Approval gate
Final approval.

Stage 07 of 07

Delivery and versions

Final files are exported in the formats and aspect ratios agreed in the quote: website, social, ads, presentations or LMS, with cutdowns, subtitles and language versions where planned.

What you do
Download, publish, and tell us where it performs best.
What you receive
Final files; source files are available on request.
Approval gate
Project complete. Updates and new versions can be quoted any time.
Where your input matters most

Early feedback is cheap. Late feedback is not.

The same change costs very different amounts of time depending on when it arrives. That is why we ask for decisions at script and storyboard, when a change is a few words or a sketch, rather than after animation.

The single most useful thing you can do: agree internally who approves the script, and send one set of consolidated comments per round.

Relative effort of the same change, by stage (illustrative)
  1. ScriptChange a line of text
  2. StoryboardRedraw a sketch
  3. Style framesAdjust a design
  4. AnimationRework animated scenes
  5. After final renderRe-animate, re-render, re-export
How long it takes

Pick a style, see a typical timeline

  • Product-team review at script and storyboard
  • Number of cutdowns

Every quote includes a specific timeline. Rush delivery is available on request. Read about SaaS video

AI-powered video

About 1 to 2 weeks

Typical time for a typical 60-second video; simple pieces can take a few days, from brief to final delivery.

What decides where you land in that range
  • Continuity of characters and products across shots
  • Number of variants
  • How much is composited or animated conventionally

Every quote includes a specific timeline. Rush delivery is available on request. Read about AI-powered video

Whiteboard

2 to 4 weeks

Typical time for a typical video; longer modules and series are scheduled per episode, from brief to final delivery.

What decides where you land in that range
  • Length of the explanation
  • Drawing detail and colour
  • Number of languages

Every quote includes a specific timeline. Rush delivery is available on request. Read about Whiteboard

3D animation

4 to 8 weeks

Typical time depending on complexity, modelling and length, from brief to final delivery.

What decides where you land in that range
  • Model complexity and whether CAD files exist
  • Realism of materials and lighting
  • Number of shots and render time

Every quote includes a specific timeline. Rush delivery is available on request. Read about 3D animation

White label for agencies

We produce, you present. No branding of ours, and no contact with your client.

How white label works
Before you start

What to have ready (none of it is required)

A rough idea is enough to get a quote. The more of this you can share, the more precise the recommendation and the faster the script.

  • What the video must achieve, in one sentence
  • Who will watch it, and what they already know
  • Where it will be shown (website, social, ads, LMS, events)
  • A target length, or “not sure”
  • Brand guidelines, logo and fonts
  • A script, deck, product link or notes, if you have them
  • Two or three reference videos you like, and one you do not
  • Your deadline, and who approves the work

FAQ

Process questions

How long does the whole process take?
A typical 60-second video takes 2 to 4 weeks end to end. AI-powered projects can be faster; 3D projects usually take 4 to 8 weeks. You get a precise timeline with your quote.
How many revisions are included?
Revision rounds are built into every stage: script, storyboard and animation. Our fixed-price packages state the number of rounds, and catching changes early keeps projects fast and budgets intact.
Do I need to be available for calls?
No. You choose how we work together: written feedback, calls or a mix of both. Many clients complete whole projects without a single meeting, and calls are available whenever you want one.
What do you need from me to start?
Just your goal and any material you have: a website link, a deck, rough notes. We take it from there and come back with questions and a written quote.
Can we supply our own script or storyboard?
Yes. We can start from your approved script or storyboard and move straight to visual direction and animation. We will suggest adjustments only where timing or visuals need them.
How is the voiceover chosen?
We share voice options that match your language, tone and audience. You choose, and the approved script is recorded before animation so the pictures are timed to the voice.
Can you make versions in other languages?
Yes. Voiceover and subtitle versions are produced from the same master. If on-screen text needs translating, we plan for it at storyboard stage so each version is efficient.
What if we want changes after approving a stage?
It is possible, and we will always tell you the effect on timeline or cost before doing anything. Changes to the script after animation has started are the most expensive kind, which is why approvals come first.
Is rush delivery possible?
Rush delivery is available on request. The fastest projects are the ones with a locked script and a single person approving each stage.
Which files do we receive?
Final files in every format and aspect ratio agreed in the quote, for web, social, ads, presentations or LMS. Source files are available on request.
Can you work under our NDA?
Yes. We are happy to work under your NDA when confidentiality is required. Everything you share is used only for your project.
Do you work with agencies?
Yes. Agencies can bring us in for any stage, or for full production, under their own brand. See how white-label production works.

Ready when you are. Tell us what you are creating.

Share whatever you have: an idea, a brief, a reference video, a script, a product link or an existing storyboard. We will recommend a production approach, a length and a format, then send a written quote.
