Myalex, SaaS video by Lucid Motion Studio
Featured · SaaS sales explainer

Myalex

An explainer for a SaaS sales product. It is the format most software teams commission first, because one film has to carry the positioning and the mechanism together.

  • Written from product documentation and a recorded demo
  • Technical review at storyboard stage, before any frame is animated
  • Delivered in 16:9, 1:1 and 9:16 with a captioned silent cut

Why the explanation stalls

Complex software is hard to explain. Animation makes it clear.

Three problems show up in almost every software brief that reaches us. None of them is solved by better adjectives.

01
Every competitor says the same sentence

AI-powered, enterprise-ready, built on a modern data platform. Once the words converge, the only differentiator left is whether a buyer can picture how the thing works.

02
You are selling to two people at once

The economic buyer wants outcome and risk. The technical evaluator wants mechanism, and can block the deal on accuracy alone. One asset aimed at the middle satisfies neither.

03
Content goes stale on the next release

Screen capture is pinned to a single build. Abstracted motion survives release cycles because it explains behaviour rather than pixels.

What we produce

What we produce for software and AI teams

Six formats, grouped by the job they do. Most teams start with one, then reuse the same visual system across the rest. Format and pricing detail sits on the SaaS video and AI-powered video pages.

Product launch film

Ninety seconds that carries the launch, on the homepage, in the email and at the front of the deck.

Onboarding and activation

The video that runs after signup, built around the first task that predicts retention.

Developer and API explainer

Request lifecycle, auth model and error handling, drawn accurately enough that a developer keeps watching.

AI and agent explainer

What the model is given, what it does, where the data lives and what a human still decides.

Architecture and integration animation

Your platform inside the customer's stack, in a form a security reviewer can follow without a call.

Sales enablement and ABM

Short assets your champion can forward internally when you are not in the room.

Why software teams choose us

Every style, one production partner

Concept, script, storyboard, animation, sound design and delivery from one team.

🧠

We read the documentation

Scripts come from your docs, your demo and your engineers, not from a category template.

🧩

One partner, every style

2D, 3D, motion graphics, UI animation and AI-assisted pipelines under one roof.

Built for the ship cycle

Reusable style systems and source files, so the next feature launch is an edit.

🤝

White-label ready

No watermark, no credit, no studio name in the file. Your brand, every time.

How it works

From product brief to final cut

Five steps on every project, with the technical review built into the middle.

Discover

We read your docs and watch a real demo. Written brief, no long call.

Script

Built around the mechanism, not a feature list. You approve the words first.

Storyboard

Scene-by-scene visuals and style frames. Your engineers review here.

Produce

Animation, voiceover, music and sound design, with revision rounds included.

Deliver

Master film, every aspect ratio, captions, cutdowns and source files.

White-label animation production for software agencies
For agencies

Your animation department, under your name

Plenty of agencies win software clients and then discover the animation is the hard part. We sit behind you. You keep the relationship, the branding and the credit, and your client never learns we exist.

  • No watermark, no credit, nothing of ours in file names or metadata
  • We never contact your client directly
  • Overflow capacity for launches and campaign peaks
  • Written quotes in 24 hours so you can price a pitch the same day
FAQ

Questions software teams ask first

What is the difference between an explainer video and a product demo video?
An explainer builds the mental model. It answers what the product is, who it is for and why the problem matters, usually in 60 to 90 seconds, for someone who has never seen your category. A demo shows the product doing the work, screen by screen, for someone already evaluating. Most software companies need both, and they should not be the same asset. If a visitor cannot yet describe your product in one sentence, the explainer is the missing piece.
Can you animate our architecture without getting the technical details wrong?
Yes, and the process is built around that risk. We work from your own material: architecture diagrams, API documentation, demo recordings and a short interview with the person who knows the system best. Your engineers review the storyboard and the sequence descriptions before any frame is animated, so a factual correction costs an edit to a document rather than a re-animation. We do not invent behaviour the product does not have. If your product is a security platform, our cybersecurity page covers threat visualisation and architecture work specifically.
Do you use screen recordings or fully animated UI?
Both, chosen per shot. Screen capture is honest and fast when the interface is stable and the point is what a user actually clicks. Animated UI is better when the interface changes often, when the screen is too dense to read at video size, or when the important thing happens somewhere the screen never shows. Most of our software work is a hybrid, and the split is agreed at storyboard stage.
How do you explain an AI product without overstating what the model does?
By separating the four things buyers actually ask about: what goes in, what the model is doing, where the data lives and what a human still decides. We write those from your documentation and your team's answers, not from assumptions about how AI systems generally work. Claims about accuracy, training data or compliance are yours to make and yours to approve. We visualise the mechanism you describe.
How long does a software explainer video take?
Two to four weeks is typical for a 60 second explainer, from approved script to final delivery. AI-assisted production is faster where the style allows it. Complex architecture work with several technical review rounds runs longer, usually four to six weeks. We quote a dated schedule with the price, and we have not missed a delivery date across more than a thousand projects.
Can you produce a version for the technical evaluator and a shorter one for the executive buyer?
Yes, and we recommend it. They are different films, not different lengths of the same film. The evaluator version can hold detail, sequence and correct terminology. The executive version carries the outcome and the shape of the mechanism, and usually runs under 60 seconds. Producing both in one project is far cheaper than commissioning them separately, because the script, style and assets are shared.

Send us one feature. We will animate it free.

Pick the part of your product nobody understands on the first explanation. We will animate 15 seconds of it, free, so you can judge the work on your own product.
