Finance and insurance work from our portfolio

Published pieces from our library closest to this market, labelled by the kind of work rather than the client name. Anything produced under NDA stays unpublished, so ask if you need to see more.

Gluwa, FinTech video by Lucid Motion Studio
Featured · Fintech explainer

Gluwa

Fintech explainer for a digital finance platform. Work in this sector has to satisfy the customer and the reviewer at the same time, which is what our production process is built around.

  • Written from material you supply, with claims and figures in marked blocks
  • Storyboard review before animation, so a legal correction is a document edit
  • Voiceover on its own track, so a market variant is a swap rather than a rebuild

Why the explanation stalls

Financial products are hard to explain. Animation makes them clear.

Three problems show up in almost every finance brief that reaches us. None of them is solved by better adjectives.

01
Nothing here can be photographed

Money moving, risk being priced, data shared under permission. None of it has a physical form, which is exactly why animation is not a stylistic choice in this sector.

02
You are writing for the customer and the reviewer

The customer needs the mechanism. Legal needs the claim, the figure and the risk wording to be exactly right. One asset aimed at the middle satisfies neither of them.

03
The film has to survive the next rule change

Rates move, names change, rules are rewritten. A flat render is a new production every time. A versioned build is an edit.

What we produce

What we produce for finance and insurance teams

Six formats, grouped by the job they do. Most teams start with one, then reuse the same visual system across the rest. Format detail sits on the motion graphics and training video pages.

Product and proposition explainer

Sixty to ninety seconds on what the product does, who it suits and what it costs.

Onboarding and app walkthrough

Download to first successful action, including the identity checks where drop-off happens.

Claims and servicing journey

What happens after something goes wrong. Fewer inbound calls as well as fewer complaints.

Financial education animation

Non-promotional content on cost, risk and product behaviour. Lighter review, long shelf life.

Adviser and broker enablement

Short, correct and forwardable, for a network that will never log into your partner portal.

Compliance and conduct training

Scenario animation for AML, fraud and conduct. Re-versioned when policy moves, not reshot.

Why finance teams brief us

Regulated does not have to mean dull or slow

Built so the work reaches sign-off instead of coming back as a rewrite.

๐Ÿงพ

We plan for the second version

The film you approve in March can be updated in October without a new production.

๐Ÿ”’

NDA before detail

We sign first and ask questions second. Nothing is published or shown without your permission.

๐ŸŒ

Multi-market from the start

Voiceover on its own track and editable figure layers. A variant is a swap, not a rebuild.

๐ŸŽฏ

One studio for the whole set

Product film, training module, adviser update and results package from one team.

How it works

From product brief to approved film

Five steps on every project, with legal review built into the middle rather than bolted on at the end.

Discover

We ask who signs off before we write, and what they rejected last time.

Script

Claims, figures and risk wording sit in marked blocks you can edit.

Storyboard

Legal reviews the storyboard before animation, where a change is cheap.

Produce

Animation, voiceover, music and sound design, with revision rounds included.

Deliver

Master film, market variants, captions and versioned source files.

White-label animation production for financial services agencies
For agencies

Your animation department, under your name

Financial accounts need more production capacity than a retained creative team can carry, especially once the review cycle starts. We sit behind you. You keep the relationship, the branding and the credit, and your client never learns we exist.

  • No watermark, no credit, nothing of ours in file names or metadata
  • We never contact your client directly
  • We sign your NDA, or your client's, before the first detailed conversation
  • Written quotes in 24 hours so you can price a pitch the same day
FAQ

What finance teams ask us first

Can you work with our compliance and legal review process?
Yes. It is designed into the schedule rather than discovered at the end. We ask who signs off before we write, we build the script so claims, figures and risk wording sit in clearly marked blocks, and we send the storyboard for review before animation starts. Disclaimers and risk warnings are treated as timed elements with their own on-screen duration, not as an afterthought squeezed into the last three seconds. To be clear about the boundary: your compliance function approves the content. We make it easy to approve and cheap to change.
Do you guarantee the video will be compliant?
No, and you should be wary of any production company that says otherwise. Compliance is a determination your legal and compliance team makes, in your jurisdiction, against the rules that apply to your permissions. What we can commit to is a production process that fits how those reviews actually run: source-linked scripts, versioned files, annotated review rounds, and a build that lets you swap wording or a disclaimer without re-animating the film.
Can you produce different versions for different markets and regulators?
Yes, and it is far cheaper when planned from the start. We keep on-screen text minimal and hold voiceover on its own track, so a market variant becomes a text and audio swap rather than a rebuild. Risk wording, product names and figures live in editable layers. Teams that need UK, German and US variants normally commission them together as one production with three deliverable sets.
What kinds of financial products do you animate?
Payments and settlement, digital banking and app onboarding, lending and BNPL mechanics, wealth and investment platforms, open banking and embedded finance, general and life insurance products, claims journeys, underwriting and risk concepts, RegTech tooling, and internal training on new systems. If the product is easier to draw than to describe, it is a good candidate.
How do you handle confidentiality, security questionnaires and vendor onboarding?
We sign your NDA before the first detailed conversation, not after. We work only from material you send us. Nothing we produce for you is published, entered for an award or used in a pitch without your written permission. For procurement, we complete vendor and security questionnaires as part of onboarding. Tell us the process early and we will work to it.
How much does a financial services explainer video cost?
It depends on length, animation style and how many market variants you need. Our published fixed price packages start at $180 for a 30 second AI-assisted or motion graphics piece and $340 for a 60 to 90 second explainer with scriptwriting, custom storyboard and professional voiceover. Regulated work with several review rounds and multiple language versions is quoted individually. You get a written quote within 24 hours of sending the brief.

Send us the product nobody understands

Pick the proposition that always needs a second explanation on the phone. We will animate 15 seconds of it, free, so you can put real work in front of your compliance team.
