White label, defined

What is white-label animation?

In brief

White-label animation is video production carried out by one studio and delivered without its branding, so the agency that commissioned it can present the work as its own. The producing studio stays invisible: no watermark, no credit, and no contact with the end client.

For an agency it is a way to sell animation without hiring animators. You keep the client relationship, the brief and the margin; we provide the production capacity, the range of styles and the delivery dates. The commercial model is simple: you receive a white-label rate, you set the price your client pays, and the difference is yours.

What a partnership gives your agency

  • Sell work you cannot staffPitch 2D, 3D, motion, SaaS and AI video without carrying animators on payroll.
  • Absorb peaks without panicLaunches, campaigns and deadline clusters covered by extra capacity.
  • Protect your marginA white-label rate with room for your own mark-up on every project.
  • Answer briefs fasterWritten quotes within 24 hours, so you can price a pitch the same day.
  • Keep the relationshipYour client deals only with you, from first brief to final file.
What we produce

Every format your clients ask for

One partner across the whole range, so you are not managing five suppliers with five standards.

SaaS Videos

Product demos, feature videos, UI walkthroughs and onboarding for software clients.

2D Animation

Character and vector animation, infographics and illustrated storytelling.

3D Animation

Product, industrial and technical animation, exploded views and CGI.

AI-Powered Videos

AI-assisted campaign films, social ads and concept pieces, directed and finished.

Motion Graphics

Brand motion, logo animation, kinetic typography, data and Lottie files.

Explainer Videos

Scripted explainers in whichever style suits the client’s message.

Corporate Videos

Company, internal, investor and event communication.

Training Videos

Onboarding, safety and compliance modules, in every language required.

Whiteboard Animation

Hand-drawn and digital whiteboard for teaching-led content.

We can also join a project part-way: scripts, storyboards, style frames, animation from your designs, or editing and versioning only.

How the partnership works

Seven steps, and your client sees only you

  1. Your brief

Send us your brief or forward your client’s. Confidential by default, and we are happy to work under your NDA or MSA.

  2. Scope and white-label rate

You get scope, timeline and a written rate with clear room for your mark-up, usually within 24 hours.

  3. Production

Script, storyboard, style frames, animation, voice and sound, produced by our team to the approved direction.

  4. Your review, your brand

Previews come to you, not your client. You collect their feedback and pass it on as your own.

  5. Clean delivery

Final files carry no watermark, no logo and no metadata pointing back to us, in every format agreed.

  6. You present

The work goes to your client as your studio’s production. We stay out of the room, every time.

  7. Next brief

Partners usually settle into a rhythm: reserved capacity, familiar rates and a shared style library.

What to send with a first brief

  • What the client sells, and who the video is for
  • Format and length, or the goal if that is still open
  • The client’s brand kit, or yours if you are art-directing
  • Reference videos, and anything the client has rejected before
  • The date you have promised, and who signs off on your side

What invisible means

Exactly what stays hidden, and what stays yours

White label is a promise about contact, credit and files. Here is ours in detail.

What we never do

  • Contact your client, at any stage, for any reason
  • Put a watermark, logo or credit on a frame
  • Leave studio names in file names, project files or metadata
  • Publish work made under your brand without your written permission
  • Approach your client after the project ends

What stays with you

  • The client relationship, the brief and every conversation
  • The price your client pays, and the margin on top of our rate
  • Art direction, if your team wants to lead it
  • Final files, plus source files on request, for future edits in-house
  • The credit for the work

If your client asks to meet the production team, we can answer technical questions in writing for you to pass on. We do not join client calls unless you specifically want us there as your team.

Where partners use us

Four ways agencies plug us in

Use case 01

Overflow capacity

Peak season, a launch or three briefs landing in the same week. We take the overflow so you keep saying yes.

  • No retainer required
  • Reserved slots for partners
Use case 02

A capability you do not have

You sell 2D happily, then a client asks for 3D, AI-powered campaign work or a SaaS demo. We cover the gap.

  • Nine formats under one partner
  • One standard across all of them
Use case 03

Your outsourced animation department

Recurring work with familiar rates, shared style libraries and a predictable pipeline.

  • Monthly plans available
  • Style guides reused across projects
Use case 04

Pitch and new-business support

Quotes within 24 hours, plus a free sample under your brand, so you can pitch with something real.

  • Written scope you can paste into a proposal
  • Sample produced under your name
Compare the options

White-label studio, freelancers or your own team

None of the three is universally right. This is how agencies usually decide.

How a white-label studio compares with freelancers and hiring in-house
OptionWhat you getUsually the right call when
White-label studioA production team across every format, with reserved capacity and one standard of finish.Best when work is recurring or varied, and you would rather sell than staff.
FreelancersOne person, one skill, often excellent. You art-direct, schedule and cover the gaps yourself.Best for a single format and a light, predictable workload.
Hiring in-houseFull control and instant availability, at the cost of salaries, software and a hiring cycle.Best when volume is high, constant and in one style.

Commercials

How the money and the paperwork work

01

Your rate, your mark-up

You receive a white-label rate and set the price your client pays. Published fixed-price packages start at $180 for 30 seconds and $340 for a 60 to 90 second explainer; partner and volume work is quoted individually.

See fixed-price packages
02

Retainers for recurring work

Monthly plans suit partners with steady output, with a dedicated team and the option to pause between campaigns.

03

Paperwork when you need it

NDAs and MSAs are available whenever your agency or your client requires them. Confidentiality applies either way, so an NDA is an option rather than a condition.

04

Currencies, timezone and language

Invoicing in the currency that suits your books, communication aligned to your working hours, and delivery in the languages your client’s market needs.

FAQ

Questions agency owners ask first

What does white-label animation mean?
It means we produce the video and you deliver it as your own. There is no watermark, no credit and no contact between us and your client, so the work arrives looking like your studio made it.
Will you ever contact my client?
No. We work only with you. Your client never hears from us and never sees our name. Every conversation runs through your agency.
Does any Lucid branding appear on the files?
No. Final delivery is clean: no watermark, no logo, and no metadata pointing back to us. What you send your client looks like your studio made it.
Can I set my own price?
Yes. You receive a white-label rate and resell at whatever your client relationship supports. The mark-up is yours to keep; our guide on white-label animation covers typical agency margins.
Do you sign NDAs and MSAs?
Yes, whenever you or your client need them. Confidentiality is our default either way, so an NDA is available rather than required. Send us your paperwork, or use ours.
Who owns the finished video and the project files?
The work is yours to deliver to your client under your own agreement. Final files come as standard, and source or project files are available on request so your team can make future edits in-house.
Will our work appear in your portfolio?
Not without your written permission. Work produced under a partner’s brand stays out of our portfolio and case studies by default.
How fast is turnaround?
A typical 60-second video takes two to four weeks; AI-powered pieces can be faster and detailed 3D usually takes four to eight weeks. We hold production slots for partner work, so you are rarely waiting for us to start, and rush delivery is available on request.
Can you match our client’s brand and language?
Yes. We build to the brand kit you provide and deliver voiceover, subtitles and on-screen text in the languages the market needs.
Can you animate from our designers’ files?
Yes. Layered design files, storyboards or an approved script are all fine starting points, and we will flag anything that needs preparing differently for animation.
Is there a minimum volume or commitment?
No. Many partnerships start with a single project. If work becomes regular, a monthly plan usually costs less per video and reserves capacity.
How do we start?
Send one brief as a test. We will return a written quote within 24 hours, and a free sample under your brand if you want to show your client something first.
